I’m guessing Ponga may come on as a lock/link role? Having Grant and Ponga come on through the middle against tired forwards could be deadly and allow Reece to have a field day on their edges. Whether we’re able to set enough of a platform for them is another question though.

As a bit of an aside and on a positive note I was happy for Staggs in particular tonight. He was strong in everything he did and I personally felt like he’d been having a bit of a lean year this year but it wasn’t due to a lack of effort

Oh I definitely do and Im saying we are way too reliant on them to have any sort of sustained success. Look at the likes of the Panthers and the Storm, they have systems and structures to allow the next man up to slot in and fill a gap

No one is suggesting that we can win a premiership without Reynolds and Walsh but to excuse the performances of the last few weeks because they’re not there is ridiculous. We will be out of the top 8 at the end of this round and that’s not good enough.
