Yeah I had thought of that but he will really have to play the house down the rest of this season for souths to offer him enough coin to make it worth his while to go back to Sydney. They would also probably only give him a 1 year deal. He has also burnt a few bridges in that town.
I am...
Going to the Dolphins under Bennet is probably the best thing for him. They are short of forwards as well so if Bennet can get him to play to his potential (a big if) he would be handy for them.
Don't know what he will do next year though.
Yes I remember that one well as it ran for a few years however as I recall there was actually another club song earlier than that.
Not sure of all the words but it ran something like this 'Get ready get set to go, Get ready get set to go, for we're the Brisbane Broncos' etc.
It wasn't around...
Agree completely but I am concerned both his parents now have very serious long term issues to deal with and am worried these could potentially just grind him down over time.
He needs all the support the club can give him I just hope its enough.
I don't know how this situation could have occurred as although I am by no means an expert on player/manager arrangements it is my understanding that when players are paid (usually monthly) the money actually goes to their manager first and then he deducts his commission and forwards the...
It looks like he is going to Souths.
I think they want to do the deal as soon as possible and tie him up because as things stand Parramatta although struggling a bit would be a more attractive club for him as Souths are currently a basket case.
Wayne going to Souths will actually shore up (but...
Yeah I should have specified better.
I meant at the back end of the season when cleary, papenhuyzen etc. should be back.
Hopefully we'll be close to a full roster to though.
We are definitely having no luck with injuries this season.
If the Panthers and Storm end up relatively injury free they will be a major roadblock to us competing for the premiership.
They always have a choice. Now that they know these sort of contracts don't work you would think they will stop writing them although its a little late for Tino's.
The Dolphins will probably achieve more in their first 2 years than the Titans have since they started.
The titans are nuts writing those sorts of contracts.
They don't even work, they still lost Fifita and for unders!
No wonder the club is in such a poor position on the ladder.
I agree with all this but there is one thing I don't understand. The storm don't sign idiots so why are they interested in him?
I must be missing something.
We should put in an offer for him. No we don't want him but we should make sure whoever ends up with him has to pay full freight.
There are enough rorts already with so called salary caps we don't need another one.
