Yeh , I think his short kicking game is 9/10 and his running is 7/10. But his defence is a 2/10
Whereas Kelly I'd say short kicking 7/10, running 6/10, defence 7/10.... I prefer Kelly.
Am I the only one who isn't particularly keen on getting Drinkwater? Can someone sell him to me?
Kevvie has put so much emphasis on defence and Drinky is a massive defensive liability.
Herbie and Kelly had a fucking game didn't they. Weapons.
Think people are being hard on Staggs. He didn't have a big game in attack and bombed an easy one, but he had a big defensive game. They went at him all day and he didn't let in a single try, he also saved a certain try when he came out...
Man some of y'all are too salty.
I'd take Xavier back, he's going to be a great winger one day, and truthfully I think a few years under Bellyache will give him the smarts that he is obviously lacking right now. But, that being said, I also don't give a shit if he never comes back either.
As...
This probably won't happen, but I'm of the opinion that Turpin stays at 9, and Paix comes in as our 14... Both players play 50-60mins with Turps spelling at lock when Kobe goes off.
It does mean that one of Billy or Alby is missing out.
That being said, I won't be disappointed if it doesn't...
Wow, just watching the replay now... Cobbo had 5 missed try scoring opportunities... That's crazy, imagine if he had converted all of them - he'd have had a 10/10 game.
Cobbo atleast another year off being the fullback. Not fit enough / not involved enough. But a reality check, for all of us, is never a bad thing.
Oates and Periera were okay. Lee was a bit shit, but the left side defence was better than the right side. I feel like one of these three guys is...
I hope our end of season halves are
9. Paix
6. Mamm
7. Reynolds
14. Walters
And I think our round 1 halves will be
9. Turpin
6. Walters
7. Reynolds
14. Paix
And I'm okay with that for now.
Yeh thats a shit stat, and his passing game is poor... I agree, It's weird. But I've been rewatching the last few games of the season last year and he's pretty involved. Just doesn't get the chocolates at the end. I feel a few minor tweaks and he could be very very good.
I'm the same, I think we should be fighting hard to keep Herbie.
Keep in mind he is still an unfinished product. He's only a year older than the young fellas - and last year he was our most dangerous backline weapon.
Yeah, there are some obvious deficiencies in his game... But he'll work on...
From a confidence / skill level, I think Ezra is ready too. He has it. He seems to most exciting prospect too.
Only concern is whether the week to week grind of proper NRL will diminish his sparkle.
And how is easy it is for other teams to make a slanderous nickname for him.
