Glad to see the old boys aren’t as petty as a certain loud minority made them seem.
Also glad to hear that they’ve identified first contact as an issue, I know many here were screaming about that and line speed for a while now
I mean he does address two major aspects, our team’s average experience and football IQ just went back up. We’re now back at Capewell era levels.
I don’t think he’ll be particularly transformative alone though. I am more just excited by the spectacle of it.
Outside of injuries I don’t think he’ll be our starting 9 for long, and he wouldn’t be my pick out of him, Paix, and Smoothey but i don’t think there’s much in it.
We very rarely get external signings right, and historically struggle with managing talent beyond their first contract.
We are good at finding young talent to begin with though.
Paix showed signs of being a pretty serviceable hooker. Had some real dominate games in cup over the years too. He had a few rough games under Kev and was forever exiled.
I feel for him to be honest
Yeah, it’s his rightful place. A dependable journeyman depth utility spine player. He’s a great buy for that role and it’s an underrated one.
The issue is, I’m not sure how much he’s being paid
