When Bennett keeps on talking about coaching for longer, I keep getting visions of a Weekend at Bernies type scenario. Clearly Walters wasn't up for it though.
I wonder how long Bellamy will keep coaching for. He keeps on talking about retirement.
If the Broncos were to sign him, I hope he's in for the long haul, and not just for a 4 year contract. If he only signed for 4 years and retired, I don't really see what the advantage is to losing Bennett at...
If he had the best interests of the club in mind, I wonder if he would leave a year early if it meant getting Bellamy to Brisbane.
He always talks about moving older players on, in the interest of retaining any possibly better younger talent coming through.
I wonder if he'd do the same as coach?
Yeah, it was even worse than Slaters attempted at a kick, but technically speaking he was attempting a kick, and he ended up doing a a drop kick, as unpretty as it was.
I'm happy for it to be called a knock on, but it's interesting the NRL come out a few weeks ago and defend the Slater...
Nah, it led directly to a try, but it got ruled as knock on as opposed to a drop kick. Other than that, there didn't seem any other issues with the play.
It didn't really affect the outcome in the end, but would have been interesting to see the reaction if it had.
Did anyone see the sharks dogs game yesterday where one of the sharks players went to kick it, dropped it, but kicked it on the first bounce?
I'm wondering how this was any different to Slaters effort. I'd be happy for both to be called a knock on, but the NRL came out and said the Slater...
Maybe it was actually Minto in the coaches box, doing post try celebration ala Mark Riddell. Or maybe it was Bennett who actually scored the try. We'll never know really.
Ok, maybe the term "everyone" was over the top, but I still think he would have copped backlash for it no matter when he announced it.
And while it's only been publicly announced now, it sounds like Walters had pre-warning this was likely to be the case, either through direct conversations or...
If he'd made his mind up last year, everyone would have been jumping on him saying he should wait and see how he feels this year. It seems no matter when or how he announced this decision, people were gonna whinge about it.
It is a shame he's not gonna be there this year, especially given Cronk...
Please don't quickly dismiss me as an idiot, but I'm actually now wondering if his elligibility to play for NSW is just fake news. If it's unknown if he's even 18 or 19, it seems pretty clear someone has forged his birth certificate at some point. Did anyone even know him growing up? I mean...
