I've been sitting back reading all the comments re Haas and I'm still trying to come to terms with the whole saga.
One thing I know is that no way should the Broncos pay him any more money than what his current contract is worth.
I think we should try and settle things down till the end of the...
Yeah I think Reyno and TMM would be an exciting halves combination that would really give opposition teams something to worry about.
Then imagine if Herbie could really take fullback by the scruff of the neck and prove he can work at it to the extent of making it his own.
Then throw in Cobbo in...
I keep on hearing people pushing forward Cobbo for fullback but I'm sure that he stated that centre is his favoured position.
Or am I missing something that he's said of late.?
To me, I just can't see him leaving the Broncos especially leaving his comfort zone of being close to his family and friends. He seems to me to be a young fella that would value family and friends way above a bit more money offered by another club. And he just looks so happy being in the...
I'm not sure why any of our players would want to leave now, especially when things are starting to look brighter. The whole uncertainty of the Dolphins playing roster would be a real worry, so realistically it would only be for the money or a promised playing position. I'm really hoping Herbie...
The media is pushing the "Munster to the Broncos is an option " agenda , no doubt to raise his salary.
Even though I think that Munster is an arrogant prick and comes across as a real dick, the Broncos really need to go in full guns blazing to try and sign him.
If we want to once again be NRL...
I've watched the latest game replay a few times and it is really becoming obvious how frustrated Oates is with Herbie continually stepping inside when there is a chance to set him up for an open run. As much as I love Herbie, his is definitely costing us try scoring opportunities on that left side.
This week against the Sharks is shaping up as the real test to show where the Broncos are at.
The Sharks are playing great football at the moment and we showed against the Dogs that we can put points on when we click.
I know people will say " it's only the Dogs " and fair enough but I think we...
As much as I love Haas as a player and what he brings to the Broncos, I wouldn't be paying any more than $800 000-
$850 000 and that could be overs. All the best teams have great spines and that's what we have to aim for.
Yeah I think it would be well worth it. Although Haas is a great front rower, he doesn't exactly win us games. I'd be happy with a no nonsense hard working front rower that's worth half the money. Also I think Willison is going to be a good front rower in the making. Munster and Walsh will win...
I'd love Broncos to give Haas to Storm in a swap for Munster and also sign Walsh, all for '24.
I know this won't happen but the Broncos would be a much better balanced team. This would also take the pressure off Cobbo so he can play his preferred position of centre.
How we would keep Herbie...
Ideally i'd love to have both Walsh and Munster and if Herbie leaves to the 'phins and we save a bit on Oats , who knows..
Trouble is by all accounts Munster hates the Broncos for some reason and i'd really doubt he'd leave the Storm anyway..
And as to Ponga, it's a definate no from me...!!
With the continual comparison between Turpin and Paix, i think we have to face the fact that they are both useless. Both are slow as a wet week and neither have any deceptiveness with their ball playing abilities.
With Reyno also being slow,we desperately need speed in the 6 and 9 positions to...
