I think the honeymoon period for Kev is now well and truly over and the group has just become too comfortable, he is one of their mates not their boss............I'm just not sure that Kev can turn that around without a major rejig of the roster and essentially starting over again.
I don't disagree with what you are saying about Kev, but ultimately the buck stops with the coach and it's his job to set the standard and hold players accountable, it doesn't appear or feel like Kev is doing that, in fact most of what we hear from Kev about the playing group seems to be excuses...
The system seems to have a rather large downside tho demonstrated this year, because we have so much reliance on individual brilliance, if we cop injuries to our star players/point scorers or their form is down then we seem to be royally screwed with no backup plan.
There is no next man up...
Wooohoooooo!!!.......free game day tickets/reserved seating/refreshments/privileged access for BHQ members.....................well at least until it all turns sour, he losses the dressing room, the results go South and we all turn against him and ask for his head. 🙄
What concerns the shit out of me is Kev seems to have no answer (which was the same point Seibold reached), it feels like he thinks that he can just keep going as is and one day things will just click............he doesn't seem to want to acknowledge that maybe what they are doing isn't...
I was going to say mediocrity as well but honestly if you watched the last 10 of so games I'm not sure we could even claim to be at a mediocre level, we seem to be striving (poorly) to even get there.
