POST GAME [Round 27, 2023] Broncos vs Storm

Totally agree mate, I'm just arguing it doesn't make them right, but I definitely know they will do it

    THE EX Kevin Walters

No mate, your point was clear. KW cannot win coach of the year due to him making a particular decision, despite there being no evidence that said decision is a factor in deciding who receives the award.

POST GAME [Round 27, 2023] Broncos vs Storm

That post is the best gift Santa has ever given anyone, ever.

POST GAME [Round 27, 2023] Broncos vs Storm

Except it doesn't. You can do everything right as a pro athlete/team and still not win. Simply not winning a particular game or the premiership doesn't mean a particular decision was wrong.

    your point remains invalid

POST GAME [Round 27, 2023] Broncos vs Storm

I agree, the fans will decide in retrospect, but that doesn't make the fans right

    PRE-GAME [Finals Week 1, 2023] - Broncos v Storm

"If we're going to win we need to strike and then keep the foot on the throat." Reminds me of something....... Strike first, strike hard, no mercy .....

    THE EX Kevin Walters

Coach of the year should be about your ability to get the best out of your team to hopefully win the premiership. Resting or not resting players, is totally irrelevant to the award.

POST GAME [Round 27, 2023] Broncos vs Storm

Spot on. I'd almost call it a genius move from Kevvie, except there was no genius required, it was a deadset obvious move.

OPINION Broncos are winning the 2023 NRL Premiership

"Broncos are winning the premiership" No they are not, in fact they won't even make the Grand Final - this is according to Google, who have already stated the GF will be decided between the Panthers and the Rabbits!

POST GAME [Round 26, 2023] Broncos vs Raiders

Kev has a history (and a good one) of always putting the responsibility of the player/team. I love this attitude as it helps the team/player grow. But this doesn't take away from the fact it wasn't necessary in any way, and lacked both sportsmanship and class.

POST GAME [Round 26, 2023] Broncos vs Raiders

Cheers mate, I'll look for these while I watch the replay :)

POST GAME [Round 26, 2023] Broncos vs Raiders

The shot on Walsh was 100% pure dog act. The game was over. I've lost count of the number of times a game is over (by which I mean seconds to go and impossible for the result to change) and the opposition will just come in and gently 'tackle' (by which I virtually mean hug) the player with the...

    I Hate those Melbourne Players

"To certain degree....I question any Broncos fan who doesn't have a connection with Brisbane." Can I ask what you mean by that @Foordy ?

    PLAYER Payne Haas

I let a lot of things go, but not this one....... The expression is 'painted' into a corner, not 'pegged' I for one do not need any mental imagery of Haas being pegged by anyone ;)

    PLAYER Billy Walters

Oh yeah, I meant to ask about that but forgot......who came off so the smooth one and BW could both be on? And what position did Smoothie play if BW was hooker?

How much is too much for Payne? The saga continues...

As long as leaving the offer on the table till Nov 1 doesn't cost us another player/s then fine
  19. john1420

    PLAYER Payne Haas

Spot on, depending upon the degree, anything from $15k to $25k Only outliers are medicine etc which are quite dear, but if Payno thinks he's becoming the club Doctor we have bigger problems LOL

Broncos Roster, Signings and Rumours Discussion 2023

The thing with Oates is all about how it's handled. If you put a low offer in front of him, and say nothing, he probably thinks that's what you think he is worth. Fair enough too. But if you put a low offer in front of him and explain why it is low, what the negative consequences of paying him...
