Yeah he looks like a first grader. Reminded me of Ronaldo Mulitalo’s debut where he and Will Kennedy early in his career had a tough night at Suncorp. It’d be an intimidating place to play in any conditions let alone in torrential rain. But he kept coming back for more.
The Cobbo no-try is pretty consistently how they rule it. It’s just usually a hand instead of a boot from the defending team pushing it dead. And that’s fair game because he wasn’t actually holding the ball. Just one of those things where a 20m tap and 7 tackle set feels unfair.
Fair enough, I agree after replay on the Strange run
I find that a common trend with the coverage. It’s so frustrating. If they’re not zooming in on the coach or an injured player they’re using weird close up angles that give you poor perspective on the play. They try to get too cute. Save the...
100%. Flegler is the one that hits really hard for me. The broncos persisted through the sin bins, suspensions and penalties and when it finally started bearing fruit someone else comes and throws money at him. Don’t know the answer but we should get something for all the quality first graders...
It does seem a bit ridiculous that he’s allowed to essentially kick Mariner out of the contest, but we can’t touch him whilst he’s in the air. It makes it virtually impossible to defend besides holding him up at the last second, which the boys almost did.
The who cares factor plays a big role. Lots of eyes are on our games regardless of how we’re going because we have a large supporter base and are heavily disliked by everyone else. But Cronulla, Cowboys and Raiders aren’t must-watch outside of their fan bases so scheduling them in blockbusters...
In my opinion, rugby league is entertaining because the frequency of scoring is just right. Soccer is too infrequent and can get games without a score at all while the likes of basketball and AFL the scoring is so frequent any individual goal holds less importance.
I revisited the 2020 grand final because of the similarities brought up and noticed some interesting details.
Firstly the Panthers were coming to get Melbourne just as they were us with three tries in the last 20 minutes. Yes there were sin bins, but they arose from cynical play as Melbourne...
Penrith made one error in the whole game. That’s ridiculous! That’s definitely an area where we can improve. We made several errors completely unrelated to our attacking style. Staggs, Cobbo and Carrigan errors come to mind. I guess it’s attention to detail? We should also learn to get in the...
Premiers of the previous season wear a special gold premiers NRL badge on their jersey. Imagine how many extra jerseys you’d sell. I’d buy one for sure if we won. Fans of clubs like dragons, Souths, roosters etc who don’t really need to update their jerseys would lap it up.
