I thought of Thurston tbh. 99 times out of 100 he wouldn't be needed, but the 1 time he was, he was there.
You can see how far the other players have moved in between those 2 pics to try and shut down the threat. Walsh hasn't moved at all. He did move late, but Cleary was already through the...
A classic case of a player thinking he was out of the play because the ball went the other side of the ruck.
Walsh should have kept moving over with Riki. Although feels a little wrong to just single out one play/player, this just hurt because it was the winning try.
Looking at the second pic...
I woke up and watched the highlights of the game and was sort of hoping I'd had too many beers last night and passed out before I saw us score another try.
Yeah, I think either this year or the next is the premiership window for the broncos.
Hopefully they can bounce back next year, but last night was a massive opportunity missed.
That game was set up for Reynolds. 20 mins left with a 16 point lead. He should have closed that game out from there...
The big difference is Penrith had young playmakers.
As good as Ezra is, I can't see him being a game manager. Who fills the void when Reynolds retires in the next year or two? It seems like it will be the pre Reynolds broncos. A team with great talent, but no one to steer them around.
I did similar thing but chucked in Charm Stone for the place as well. I took doubles and trebles as well though so till ended up not too bad, but would have been nice if Charm Stone had placed.
I think Luai would be very ordinary if he wasn't playing along side a dominant game managing half, and how many of those are genuinely in the NRL. He'd be stupid to leave the Panthers, unless his sole motivation is money. I can't see him being the dominant playmaker guiding teams to premierships.
