The only really good thing about tonight's game was our line speed. That definitely improved, we were in their face alot more and off the line quicker, real good. Our overall defense a close 2nd.
HOWEVER
I cannot believe how diabolical Reece is, it's hard to watch and making me not like him...
Guys relax, we have only won 1 game this season.
We have done absolutely nothing.
I get the confidence after Round 1 but if we lose to the Raider, it's back to square one.
The Raiders are a tough, gritty team. They will be up for this.
Let's see what happens.
Last season, we were willing to work hard every game.
Disciplined. Working hard for each other. Switched on mentally and super fit. Worked hard as a TEAM regardless of the talent we have.
This season we are utter garbage. We can use excuses such as our injury toll, origin etc. but what it...
We all realise Manly scored a try off of a FORWARD PASS?!
What a disagraceful refereeing performance. My goodness.
But yeah, we won. We were on for 15 minutes but for the rest of the game we were just flat and tired. Defense was solid.
I'm truly hopeful but if we're being honest, we all know we will lose this game.
I don't mind the L, what would shit me off is lack of effort, no line speed and grabbing at air type tackling etc.
Even though we will lose, effort, desire and hunger we CAN do even without our best players on...
I think it would be a terrible idea to allow Capewell to go to the Warriors. He brings a hard experienced edge in the back row. You can tell his will to win is high with him at times barking orders at people to do this or that or be here or there etc. We NEED that experience at least for 2024...
THIS is exactly right. GF's don't happen every season and when we get the opportunity to play in one, you just have to nail it. We have let slip the previous 2 GF's.
No words. Absolutely shattered.
We gave up and allowed them back into the game.
Worse than 2015? Not sure atm but this will haunt us. People who say you need to lose 1 to win 1, that's BS. What happened after 2015? Did we win one? No. There's no guarantees. Who knows what will happen next...
92 & 93 - cannot really remember as I was heaps young but the best thing about those GF's was being a lifelong Broncos fan born and raised in Sydney. I went to public school across the road from OKI Jubilee Oval, grew up in St. George territory most of my life. I remember the public school put...
I'm in awe of our team. These group of lads. From that horrendous Parra finals game in 2019 to now, the turnaround has been remarkable. I really didn't think we'd be good enough to make the GF but now that we're here, I believe we can do it. This reminds me of the 2006 GF. The Storm were heavy...
We have been the most consistently best team all season. We have beaten every item in the NRL. We have beaten the so called "best" team Penrith and we demolished our "bogey" team Melbourne 26-0 in a finals game when the pressure was on. Our team is fully fit, no injuries. We've had the week off...
Please guys, let's not underestimate the Warriors.
However, nothing short of a GF appearance is acceptable. Nothing else. We HAVE TO beat the Warriors.
I can't believe it. I honestly can't.
The Storm have had a strangle hold on us for years. EVERY game we play against them, if we're all honest deep down we're expecting a loss no matter how great we're going throughout the season..
Tonight. 26-0. We completely dominated them. They played like...
Remember that game in 2015 when we beat the Storm at AAMI Park?
14-12.
That defensive effort was absolutely unbelievable. One of the Broncos greatest ever wins.
If we don't produce that kind of effort in all areas of our game, we won't win.
However, if we do? The hoodoo will be broken...
