The Knights signed him to replace Wes Naiqama & Junior Sa'u because there is no NRL ready centre behind Gagai & Tahu but while they are fit Leilua could definitely be used as an bench utility in the mean time if he's playing well enough in NSW Cup.
I like the new Broncos jersey, looks simple & modern. Simple is always good with NRL jerseys in my opinion, don't want some insane crap like a Tigers jersey..
But i agree with most people that the heritage jerseys are the best NRL jerseys.
I'd welcome him with open arms but there's no way he'll be a walkup start into the Knights line-up, this pre-season these are the 10 main guys fighting for 4 spots.
Costigan, Cuthbertson, Fa'alogo, Hilder, Leilua, McKinnon, Roberts, Rochow, Sims, Tetevano
So Whitchurch has his work cut out for...
Might aswell add my team in
Newcastle Knights
Chris Adams
Danny Buderus
Neville Costigan
Adam Cuthbertson
Marvin Filipo
Dane Gagai
Kurt Gidley (c)
Matt Hilder
Chris Houston
Siuatonga Likiliki
Willie Mason
Peter Mata'utia
Alex McKinnon
James McManus
Jarrod Mullen
Kevin Naiqama...
Fair enough. I was disappointed that the Knights missed out on him because i know he's a player of talent, but it leaves room for our own home grown superstar in the making who will be training with first-grade for the first time this summer, Adam Clydsdale.
Are you thinking Baptiste is going to Newcastle? Because he knocked back the Knights' offer months ago due to it being less than he thought he was worth.
Unless your thinking he will still leave the Broncos anyway?
