If everything lines up well we have a chance of breaking into the top 8 with a healthy win with this game. It would be a surprising turn around all things considered.
I was happy to see Kotoni briefly at 9 too. That was short-lived though. He looked so lost and his passing was slow and awkward. Talented player, but a hooker he is not.
Despite some defensive lapses, that game was a big improvement from the last. We're looking bad ladder-wise, but at least we're on an upwards trend. It's not all doom and gloom.
I really wanted that to be a try, but Korbin's elbow seemed to pretty clearly touch the ground. As much as it sucks, I think it was definitely the right call - even if it went up as a try.
I don't think we need anyone. Don't forget we still have Glenn, Savelio, Oates, and Fifita coming through. I'd rather not spend any money buying new forwards and just try and retain some of our talent. Or buy a halfback.
McGuire getting injured could be a blessing in disguise. TPJ is definitely a more suitable lock for us with his ball play, attacking vision, and offload ability. McGuire would never ordinarily give Bennett a reason to move him from lock permanently as he never truly plays poorly, just not great...
