What would be your 2009 line up??

Mine would be:

1. Hunt
2. Yow Yeh/Beale
3. Michaels
4. Hodges
5. Folau
6. Lockyer
7. Wallace
8. Thaiday
9. Gorrell/Marsh/McCullough
10. Kenny
11. Parker
12. Setu
13. Stagg

14. Taylor
15. Teo
16. Gorrell/Marsh/McCullough
17. Palmer Wapau (NOT CLINTON OR SIMS!)

God we NEED Locky to build this team for 2 or more seasons.

God it looks inexperienced on paper - bring back Petero Bruno

Next seasons line up depends on whether or not Hunt and Thaiday are charged!

Some of those forwards are really going to have to pull the thumb out their arse if we are going to make the top 8.

This what I would have:

Hunt
Folau
Michaels
Hodges
Yow Yeh
Locky
Wallace
Clinton
Marsh
Thaiday
Stagg
Parker
Setu

Gorrell
Taylor
Kenny
Teo/ Watkins

Exactly.

Although i must say that kenny has impressed me lately, especially last night ... he was fantastic icon_thumbs_u

Kenny should have benn MOm if Broncos won. He has been fantastic these last couple of months.

Finally everyone's starting to realise that Kenny's an awesome player. [icon_razz1

He should get a starting spot next season. The other front row position is up for grabs, as well as dummy half and that last remaining spot in the backs. But there are way too many blokes leaving for my liking, it's going to feel like a totally different team next year..

I'm sure i'll change my position plenty of times over the summer, but a rough line-up to start things off:

1. Hunt
2. Michaels
3. Folau
4. Hodges
5. Yow Yeh
6. Lockyer
7. Wallace
8. Thaiday
9. Gorrell
10. Clinton
11. Parker
12. Setu
13. Stagg

14. Kenny
15. Sims
16. Taylor
17. Marsh

Can't make up my mind about Folau at centre or wing, what side of the field, etc. And as had already been mentioned, our forwards are going to have to stay fit and over achieve a bit next year if we're really going to compete.

Ok, because I'm bored and procrastinating here's my team for next year..

01. Hunt
02. Yow Yeh
03. Michaels
04. Hodges
05. Folau
06. Lockyer
07. Wallace
08. Kenny
09. Gorrell (can play the full 80)
10. Clinton
11. Parker
12. Thaiday
13. Setu

14. Stagg
15. Taylor
16. Wapau
17. Ah Mau (seriously, he was pretty solid in his 10 or so minutes this year, we need someone who can just go forward)

Sims omission isn't just based on last night's mistake, been pretty critical of him for a while now. And yeah JW, I'm worried about the forwards next season as well.

i would start with:

01. Hunt
02. Michaels
03. Hodges
04. Folau
05. Yow Yee
06. Lockyer
07. Wallace
08. Kenny
09. Marsh
10. Clinton
11. Parker
12. Thaiday
13. Setu

14. Gorrell/McCullough
15. Taylor
16. Wapau
17. Ah Mau/Sims/Te'o/Stagg

1. Hodges
2. Yow Yeh
3. Folau
4. Michaels
5. Hewitt
6. Lockyer
7. Wallace
8. Kenny
9. Marsh
10. Clinton
11. Thaiday
12. Parker
13. Hunt
--------------------
14. Stagg
15. Teo
16. Setu
17. Taylor

1. Hunt
2. Yow Yeh/Beale

4. Hodges
5. Folau
6. GOD
7. Wallace
8. Kenny
9. Marsh
10. Clinton
11. Parker
12. Thaiday
13. Setu

14. Taylor
15. Te'o
16. Gorrell/McCullough
17. Stagg

I think it depends on what style of play we plan on playing next season. I'd probably try and get SIMS into the side somewhere but at the expense of who?? I hope Henjak is more willing to drop players next season. Sims is a decent player but he should have had the odd stint in QLD cup to get a rocket up him

If you're saying so, I reckon pretty high.

Moving to lock would be a massive ask for Hunt though. To go from making like 2 tackles to over 30 a game is a big shift. And his tackling technique probably isn't the best either.

Very valid points indeed and something that needs to be assessed before this happens, if the coaching staff are weighing it up as an option. I just think we need someone in the forwards to give us more options and plenty of enthusiasm. I don't think next year we can win the premiership on the back of the likes of Clinton and Sims (and it looks like I am not on my own here) so I think a little change-up is what we need. Also, Hodges is useless in the centres at the moment and putting Folau there doesn't weaken that position at all.
