First off, big congratulations to Corey, well deserved and it was basically the only selection I cared about (aside from Locky, but that was a given).

Worst selections? Probably B. Stewart (we already have enough depth at fullback), Shillington and T. Williams.

And how Shillington beats both McGuire and Hannant surprises me given he's played about 4 games all season due to injury...

Agree with the Broncos selections given Hannant and Hodge's struggle with niggling injuries. Expect to see Beale and Glenn called to NZ and Reed to the poms.

Can't disagree too much with the rest though.

I assume McGuire wasn't free for selection, while Hannant has been playing with injury niggles for most of the season, and has been well below par.
I don't know who else you would pick ahead of Shillington tbh...

Nope, McGuire was cleared to play for Australia. RLIF decided to accept his change of allegiance.

In that case, he was hard done by. There has been no better prop in the NRL since he returned from his eye injury.

Wondering if Sheens is going to take a leaf out of Ricky's book and play Gallen at prop...?

Great news for Queensland.

I would have selected Hopoate infront of Stewart. Say what you want about players leaving the code not deserving a rep. jersey, but Hopoate's case is special, he deserves a spot and desperate times call for desperate measures.

And you can't select both Taylor and Williams. They're too much alike and we already have too many backrows to begin with. Mannah should have got the call up.

I would've had McGuire in there ahead of Shillington for sure, and would've had someone like Willie Tonga (if fit) as an extra centre instead of Williams. Have enough back rowers, and he's too crap to play in the backline.
