Name your projected squads people, it's pretty hard to do it this early, because there's often several people pulling out because of injury.

I thought they scrapped this. Are players from teams taking part in the WCC eligible? I suspect they would be, but that's an awful lot of pre season football for our guys and Souths. Particularly when you take into account those who played 4N.

They scrapped it for last year, but it's back by popular demand. And yeah, as I said, a lot of people pull out, wouldn't surprise me if nobody from us or Souths plays in it.

Technically it's not based on colour, it's based on race, there's plenty of white Aboriginals. But I get your point.

The only stuff we should be taking seriously is the second and third trials, everything else is pre-season wank.

Technically it's not based on colour, it's based on race, there's plenty of white Aboriginals. But I get your point.

I kind of get it that it's based on race.....I actually state that in my second sentence! No matter....aboriginal people are traditionally black, in all its different shades ! Identifying as aboriginal is one thing as it's what you feel comfortable doing but physical properties cannot be argued with.I was actually told that you don't have to have any aboriginal blood to 'identify' as aboriginal.I think there should be a cutoff ,a percentage that makes you aboriginal. A child with no aboriginal blood raised in an aboriginal home could theoretically be aboriginal even though it's only upbringing that makes that child qualify.

If if all it takes to be aboriginal is claiming you are ,it must hurt the aboriginal cause. When you are 95% from other races you can claim you are any one of the dozen races that make up your DNA or genetic background. I suppose I could represent Africa seeing as my heritage ,like all others is 'out of Africa' and I can simply claim to be African.

Anyway, that is a healthy debate or discussion for another time.

Back on the main topic, I know the game is supposed to celebrate our first Australians but I think it's just a shambles with clubs loathe to risk players and the only benefit is some cash for the administration and perhaps some cash if the game is held in a regional area.
