RUMOUR 2017, Jersey and Sponsor discussion

Heading in towards the end of 2016, thought it might be a good idea to start a little discussion about 2017 and our jersey. Im hearing rumours that Nikes contract has run out and wont be renewing. Also that NRMA's contract as main jersey sponsor ends this year.

Also if we have any leaks for our jersey design. Post em here. pls

Moving to ISC or something from Nike aren't we? But I think Nike will continue the supporter gear.

I hope not. Our jersey is a thing of pride, not something to be whored out in clown colours to whatever sequel to a reboot of an American cartoon about super magic men who fly around dressed in lycra punching baddies and dropping one-liners like Normz drops pills is prepared to pay the most.

If we ran 17 guys out dressed like Spidernan Wayne would straight up kill the marketing person responsible. And he'd be right to do so.

Each to their own. I thought the Hulk, Thor, Iron Man and Captain America costumes matched the clubs extremely well. The Wolverine one sucked but the others looked great.

I've always liked the Nike association. Premium brand for a premium club, with decent quality.

Id settle for Canterbury though!

Canterbury jerseys would be amazing. We'd be allowed to lie in the ruck for years and get away with just about everything at the judiciary.

Do they make synthetic jerseys? I always associated Canterbury with thick cotton jerseys. But I don't buy their modern rugby gear. BLK make nice enough kit though. I have a great Connacht jersey.

This was posted yesterday on Reddit, looks a lot like the mock-ups that people do but they're pretty interesting. Cue the teal bashing lol.

I'll certainly be thinking about adding another jersey to my collection with this lot.

If I do it will either be the home jersey or the Anzac hersey

These jersey are a massive step up to what we have been wearing for years.

And i really like that the sponsors logo has been merged into the jersey unlike our last jersey supplier who just lazily slapped the logo on with a big white square
