2019 Queensland Line-up

Discussion in 'State of Origin 2019' started by Sproj, Jan 17, 2019.

Going by the way Walters commented "the ship hasn't sailed on Darius at all", it's because he was asked about Boyd. Simple as that IMO. He'd have to be behind a number of players....Ponga, Inglis and Munster to name just a few. There would need to be some serious injuries for him to come into contention AFAIC.

But we have already been through this and Darius has said he's retired..
  2. Am aware. Tell the media that though.

Pretty weak of Walters tbh. Last year when he asked Darius to be in camp and help mentor the young guys Darius wouldn't do it and went on holiday instead iirc. Obviously having a sook. Move on, select someone else.

Just a bit frustrated at Kev.

No idea why we are considering Inglis at fullback too.

I'd say just pick Ponga there and lock him in.

That's not how it happened though

    How did it happen?

My mistake, he wouldn't come in as cover for Billy Slater if he wasn't right to play, a scenario that ended up happening.
  8. Trying to piece together what I think the teams will be this year, who knows which way we'll go, we've got a million halves options, one of them is going to have to play Fullback, and one is going to have to play Centre.

    Queensland -

I don't think we can keep playing a utility against NSW's pack, just go with 4 forwards. Friend can handle 80, so can McCullough, whichever way we decide to go.

Gun backline, but damn I'm worried about the pack.
