No quotes or anything official, don't celebrate too early.

Not official but was thinking the other day arthurs could still play 100+ games making a career out of being first drop outside back with us so maybe he doesn't have to leave. You leave and go to a club like the tigers, titans or knights and you would be first team for sure but as soon as they start losing arthurs would be the type to be made scapegoat (not a game breaker but not a rookie) and then he'd be damaged goods. Likely end up playing the same amount of games..

Plus, if another team comes calling to give him a permanent first team shot, I am sure we won't stand in his way.

3 year deal is interesting, as there really is only one spot available and Mariner looks set to claim that soon enough. He would make a lot of other sides strongest 13, so I'd like to know the plan pitched to him.

Very good news, he's at worst the best back up back in the NRL, at best a very solid first grade regular.

We offered him a 1 year extension but Arthur’s signed (allegedly) 2 extra years for “culture😂.

Probably has a good relationship with the club. We have already released him for first grade at another team, possibly told if he isn't cracking NRL we will do the same thing again.

He can play centre or winger, even if he did re-sign with the knowledge he would be used as a depth player, he's still going to get a lot of game time in what is shaping up to be a top four footy team.

Happy for Jesse. Can't see the news being so good for Ethan and Jordan.

Arthars:

“I am pretty happy to be staying here for another three years, I have a bit of security now and I love being around the club. I went away for a year at the Warriors and I really enjoyed my time there. I went there to get some NRL experience and I did that. I look back on it now and I’m thankful to the Broncos for giving me that opportunity. It was good for my football and my confidence and I’m running with it now. There were a few other clubs keen, but I was really keen to stay at the Broncos. It was a no-brainer to stay here and I’m lucky the club has put their faith in me and I want to repay that.”

It would be interesting to look at the last 2 seasons and see how many games we went with at least one of our starting backs unavailable. Due to his versatility, he could probably be the first guy called on in all of those instances.

You’d think it would equal minimum 12 games a year

Interested to see Tyson Smoothy be given a chance at hooker. If he can handle it at NRL level he can make every other player better with his creativity, passing and kicking game. Runs like a tortoise but likes to run the ball in both hands making opponents second guess themselves. I reckon he's key to unlocking the Broncos and take them to another level just like Walsh has with his speed, assists and being a key link man.

Because he is on a Development contract he has to wait till after round 10 I think it is, if we get an Injury at Hooker right now the only proper Hooker option is Mozer, yet I feel like Kevvie will probably put Madden at 14 if that happens.

Looks to have potential. Most recent game was fairly solid. I’ve only seen very limited of him but he reminds me a bit of Hetherington

Apparently Redcliffe has an incredible development system, not seeing it myself.
