2025 Pre-season discussion. The Madge dynasty begins.

Report in the Tele this afternoon that 4 Broncos have started their pre-season tranining ahead of when they were required to do so. Kobe Hetherington, Ben Te Kura, Payne Haas and Reece Walsh have been seen by Madge at Broncos training in the gym. Madge very impressed with their professionalism.

Madge says Walsh has already been back training, sprinting, doing weights and slogging it out for 3 weeks on his own at Red Hill and the coach praised his attitude.

"This is the sign of professionalism and this is how we are going to do things at the Broncos if we want to reach the standards of Penrith and Melbourne.”

And you'd think that sort of news would be common knowledge around here as no one can fart loudly without it being talked about. I'm wondering why we're not trumpeting that on our social media pages if nothing else but to shame the lard arses into upping their game.

I'm glad we kept Hetherington

They can't be in Broncos' gear or contacted by the Broncos during their holiday.

Broncos can't go near them- just unlock the gym and walk away- you saw nothing.

I'm really looking forward to seing how much improvement Madge can squeeze from Hetherington, Jensen, Goz and Hunt.
Fletcher Baker too but I don't hold much hope with him TBH although he has just passed the 50 NRL games which seems to be the magic number to start seeing some gains.

Reece will be the VC or C with Patty... the sooner he can get into the leadership group the better.

He's super competitive, wants to be the best and will hold his teammates accountable.... he's a footy nut that actually watches all the games each week.

He could thrive under Madge.
