Understandable, it is easy to forget an ex-captain, big-haired goofball the size of the Titanic. :pokeytongue:

Just kidding, I regularly forget players too, your list is very impressive.

Just had a quick look too, TPJ over Roberts? Fair enough if based on potential.

I put TPJ there cause I thought it would keep the forward pack strong and he would be one of the project players in the squad for development, no disrespect to Roberts but there are more then enough backs there who can fill the role.

Gillett was hard to leave out but I wanted one utility (Milford provides that with fullback and halves), 2 players who can fill the prop rotation(Hannant and Thaiday even if you could argue his best football is in the second row) and then a secondrower. Got all the time for Gillett, but Gillmeister just had a perfect tackling technique and could bring down guys so much bigger then him just like that and he was never afraid of taking the hitups hard, he had serious heart. I would be happy to have either though.

And in that sense I really wish I had another option then Dave Taylor, all the talent in the world, but no heart or hunger to succeed. Just happy to coast along with that reputation of having "the skills". No wonder Bennett was so frustrated with him.

Robbie Ross was a real favorite for me at the time, sure we had some real outstanding winger/fullbacks at the time, but you could tell he was an up and coming player, shame he had signed with the Hunter Mariners and couldn't get out of his contract.

Yeah he did. Made his debut against the Tigers in Round 12. Played the whole game IIRC.

Which was strange for a forward debutant, but I actually think he ended up at centre at one point there.
