MELBOURNE Storm have become the fourth NRL club to sack Arana Taumata in as many years, announcing the league bad boy's departure on Monday.

A talented five-eighth, Taumata was released from the club following a “physical altercation with another male'' in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Teammates Will Chambers, Dane Nielsen and Wairangi Koopu were also present at the scene, with the former two heavily sanctioned, according to a club statement.

Surely no other club will bother with this absolute waste of oxygen?

Someone in ESL will pick him up I bet. Or union

You reckon the UK would give him a visa?

I don't see why not - he doesn't actually have a police record as far as I know. But even so - it won't stop a club signing him before knowing if he can actually get into the country or not.

True, but I've heard that the UK are getting stricter and it doesn't necessarily require a conviction to prevent a visa being granted. They simply have to hold the view that the person may be of unsavoury character.

That interpretation certainly holds some concern for Taumata and Greg Bird for that matter.

Shame, the guys got some talent.

Talent doesn't mean much if he can't stay at a club long enough for it to be produced.

Wish I had a dollar for every time I've heard that said about a young footballer

I didn't even know he was with us in 2006. :S

LOLZ! Yup. And yet so many people think that if you play well in the TYC, WB should move senior, porven players out of the way to give you a run.....

I could not believe it when I heard it on the news....

Storm must be pissed, weren't they considering him as first choice 5/8th so Freak Inglis could go wide in the centres?

Hope he doesn't get another chance because he should've had his last chance at the Bulldogs.

What a waste of talent he showed in glimpses last year at the Dogs he has quality. Clearly like Carney he can't hold his piss and refuses to admit it.

Did you see him rip us up last year? That game that was hyped as the beginning of our road to the finals the he and Sonny Bill pulled our pants down...

wow. He carved in one game. Make him an immortal. Clearly he's fucked in the head. Talent means nothing without the attitude and discipline to put that shit aside and put in an effort.

What a waste. So much talent, so little brains.

He'll end up in jail eventually.

How is he not de-registered??? Tod Carney was right when he said its only the "good" players that get punished by the NRL. THey'll probebly let him waltz on to a 5th club without paying him any notice. Had he been a "name player" he wouldn't of made it past the 1st sacking these days without a 12 month de-registration.

I just think its unfair on the guys that are now facing their time for similar behaviour.
