THE lure of a premiership ring has convinced former Kiwi Test back-rower Alex Glenn to spurn interest from the Titans and Newcastle and pledge his future to the Broncos.

In a major boost for the Broncos ahead of Saturday’s clash against the Bulldogs, Glenn told The Courier-Mail he is staying loyal in his quest to win a maiden title at Red Hill.

The 26-year-old Glenn is in the best form of his career and his renaissance under Bennett piqued the interest of several NRL rivals, including Brisbane’s Queensland rivals the Titans.

But the veteran of 158 NRL games has verbally informed the Broncos he is going nowhere and hopes to formalise a two-year extension after tonight’s clash at Homebush.

“My manager said there are a few clubs interested, but I told him I want to stay here,” Glenn said.

“It’s nice to know there is some interest, so I must be doing something right.

“The last thing I want to do is move away from it all, plus my family are on the Gold Coast.

“We are close to finishing the deal. My preference was always to stay at the Broncos, I have been here the last seven years and we have a wonderful group of players here.”

Excellent, now who are we going to lose to sign Papalii?

I think we're fine for second rowers atm, as much as I'd love to have the big Papa. Dylan Napa on the other hand.. that's someone we could use.

Good news. Glenn has turned into a very good second rower under Bennett. He's leading our run metres

Awesome, he has been fantastic.

He's looked really good this year, but being honest I think we could cover for him if he went. Oates is going to be ready soon.

In saying that, it is great news. Bennett wouldn't fight for him if he felt he wouldn't help us to a premiership, that's good enough for me.

Agreed although if it isn't broken, don't fix it. That ,with regard to Oates. I don't want his speed and try scoring prowess dulled in the forwards....the way that impostor Griffin used him last year.

I think the problem was getting ten minutes a game not being in the forwards

Very happy Glenn has re-signed.

I think a big part of his form dip over the last couple of years was not having a genuine 5/8 (since Locky retired) to feed him the ball.

That has been rectified with Milford in the 6 ... And i think he us starting to get back to that form that saw him selected for NZ

I'm a big fan of Glenn. He's had a blinder so far this season.

I thought he played very well against the dogs last night.

I wanted him gone only months ago. But this year, he's a different player, as are a lot of the guys on the field for the team. Happy with this!

I actually think he will be a good re-signing. Give Oates another year in the backs because if Hodgo retires and we lose Kahu and/or Copley to another club or injury, we have our future centre right there. If one or both of those centres stay, we ease Oates into it after next year when Parker will probably call it a day (not that he needs to and don't even want to think about that happening.

From next year, I would love to see Arrow gradually eased into it from the bench too.

Next year:

8. McG
10. Blair
11. Glenn
12. Gillett
13. Parker
