All Stars Match - *SPOILERS*

I dunno about Hannant he seems to backwards more than forwards.

What game were you watching? Obviously not the same one. He averaged 9 metres a run last night. Impressive.

I honestly don't know, just seems to make no metres but obviously he does. Looked a bit heavy around the guts IMO, [icon_shru

Enjoyable match.

Agreed with the majority, Dugan, Scott, Hannant and Civoniceva were all very good.

I reckon Benji is the type of bloke you really need to work with a lot before you have a good combination with him. He did some good things last night but his little left side play was ruined a few times by the backrower/centre over-running it slightly. I reckon this is why the Kiwis are good in tournaments over a few games and often pretty hopeless in the one-off Test matches against Australia.

Yeah Dugan and Scott were tops, but I thought Hannant and Civoniceva were awesome too.
Awesome Qld front row!

I wonder whether Dugan will get a chance at representative footy while Stayne is around?
Everyone knows NSW'kers do, well... what they do best best when it comes to the latter. [icon_razz1

Hayne's best performances in Origin have been on the wing, they would be foolish to block Dugan by refusing to pick Hayne on the wing.

I know that, you know that, Qld'ers know that, but... They don't. Too busy jizzing over Stayne! [eusa_doh

Hayne played what? 2 games at fullback? And in his second he was pretty bloody good. Sure I'd have Dugan before him now, but Hayne deserved a shot last year.

Now Kidley, that was a silly selection, how he made it to Origin 1 2010 as fullback I have no idea.

TBH I reckon Hannant looked a little out of nick last night. He is coming back from a surgery though and it is the first game of the year so it's to be expected.

WTF was that 'shield' they handed Locky.

Looked like they peeled it off a tree & made it look nice.

He couldn't hand to to Gallop quick enough when the real trophy was handed out.

Yow Yeh if stays fit is going go have a massive season.
Chuck him in the centres

I thought Cam Smith was awesome. If he had of been on the field the whole game he probably would've gone close to player of the match, but they had to make way for Ennis/Gidley  And FTR I'm not a CSmith fan.

Dugan looks the goods. Hayne must be sweating bullets.

Also, Matt Scott looked epic in his runs. Wish he was a Bronco. Hannant looked good more into the match.

How was Matt Bowen's little burst through Lockyer & Morris was it? I forget. But that was hilarious, sent Locky flying.

I was just glad when Locky pulled through injury free. icon_thumbs_u

Love footy trials after being footy starved for months and months! It's a great concept.

IT MIGHT have been an exhibition game but the NRL All Stars-Indigenous clash at Skilled Park on Saturday night has proved costly for the West Tigers and Gold Coast Titans and Canberra Raiders.

Three players, Liam Fulton (Tigers), Ryan James (Titans) and Tom Learoyd-Lahrs (Raiders), were cited by the NRL match review committee after the match.

And it's this and 1 major injury to a major star that will potentially be the downfall of the All Stars match in future years. Now I am not condoning illegal play and at least in this case they can serve suspensions in trial matches but as soon as a big name star misses an NRL match through suspension or injury from the All Stars match, clubs will start encouraging their players to "withdraw through niggling injury" from the All Stars game
