I think it's awesome that Sam Burgess is in the side, even though his contract has not been registered and Souths can't fit him in under the cap yet.

I think its fantastic that the only worry we have about in this match is Sam Thaiday. As for the game, I think the all stars will win this. That forward pack is aggressive and wont take a backward step. Maranta will prove he is well and truly an all star and score a raging 7 minute hatty

The way Sam played the GF, if he does get injured, given the young guys we have coming through, I dare say it wouldn't be that a big a worry anyway.

They were pretty lazy with some of those Australian selections. At least if you selected a Jennings (Tonga), Guerra (Italy), McGuire (Samoa) you could cheat it somewhat.

Actually, I wish they had have played it straight and given some of those minnow nations a representative. Some of them could have been terrible, but I think watching them mix it with the best would have been endearing and a nice promotion for the world game.

I thought that the world all star team was going to contain the best of Super League as well. Can't really believe that Hodkinson and Maranta are all star players but there you go.

Looks like a pretty good match up that should provide some good footy. Some interesting individual match ups, RTS V Inglis, Ferguson V Morris, Thiaday V Gallen, Bird V Frizell etc.

The story they're going with is that since Hunt was suspended, Bennett needed a versatile back who could cover fullback, wing or centre.
