It was alright. Was good to watch league in HD on the big screen rather than low res stream of trials on the tablet.
Really though, the quality of play was pretty ordinary. On par with a pretty average season game, hardly a show piece like the All Stars moniker implies. Doesn't help that there were quite a few high profile omissions. Throw JT into the indigenous side, RTS and a quality half into the All Stars and you're probably looking at a different game entirety.
I do think the fixture should be retained, purely for it's significance to Indigenous communities and issues. Team selection should really be via fan/public vote though. Certainly going to increase the fan engagement and investment in the fixture.
Honestly, I'd rather retain this than the 9's, which I'm also a fan of.
