He clearly stated he was picking the team purely on form and not reputation, I don't see what the issue is? It's just a different way of looking at things. Everyone knows that plenty of those players won't get selected, but the article is recognising how well they've been playing this season. No idea why you guys are getting arced up.

Well, the article can't be that pointless if it's generating debate here, had 216 comments on the Fox Sports website, and is the fourth most popular league story on the site. :wink: Fox Sports is a business and this fella's attracting hits.

I've got a journalism degree, ergo if I see a journalist copping unnecessary (IMO) stick, I'll step in. :smile:

I'm not sure how his article makes him seem like a 'douche bag', but I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.

It'd be just like starting a thread on BHQ asking you to name your team based purely on form. Is there so much wrong with that? Would you barge in and tell the OP they were a douche bag if they started a thread like that?

There's nothing pointless about it, it's just another way of looking at team selections... perhaps a more fun or intriguing way for some. Just because it doesn't cater to your tastes, it doesn't make the guy a douche bag for writing it.

I do agree with some of his selections on form. I don't agree that Josh Morris has been in better form than Hodges.

Hoffman??? Geezus. Over Gillett and Nate Myles? He's kidding himself.

Haven't seen Thurston or Carney play this year but you know he's going to perform in a test match while Carney is unproven at rep level. Going by reports, Carney has been in good form but Thurston isn't OUT of form so you'd select him over Carney.

IMO Gillett cancels out the need for Lewis (or vice versa). Parker provides an extra prop option as well (ie, move Gallen to prop, Parker alongside up the middle).
