Australia has generally been good at playing spin but over the last few years spin bowling has dried up in domestic cricket so now they can't play spin at all. Aussie batting has always been pretty strong so collapses of this nature are a joke. Haddin and Watson were looking good but just threw it away.

How many of Australia's batting line up have been regulars in domestic cricket in the last few years? Watson maybe, Ferguson, North etc...but Clarke, Haddin, Hussey etc have been playing international almost exclusively and probably haven't played more than half a dozen domestic games in the past 3 years.

Good point Coxy but they also need practice in the nets against quality spin which they are not getting with any of the Aussie spinners at the moment.

Didn't do enough to get a win for them thankfully, but they had absolutely NFI when I was watching him bowl.

If Murali is still allowed to bowl though, anyone should. He'll just go away and get tested, straighten his arm during said testing, then come back in to the game and chuck all he likes and will be able to use the "i've been cleared before" defence for the rest of his career.

Pakistan lost Salman Butt in the first over courtesy of a Laughlin run out.
