I reckon Starc against these two righties is probably a different proposition thoughAnd immediately the pressure goes up. Shame Starc has those kinds of bad spells in him.

You drop him. I don’t know how you can keep picking him. He is in shocking form. Its wraps. Great career but it’s time to call it. He just hasn’t looked as intensely interested in cricket for some time and when that happens it’s time to give it up. He isn’t in shape, he isn’t improving, his energy is always low. He didn’t even do well in the shield game he played. I do really like him and respect him but I don’t have faith in him anymore and I’m sorry we aren’t in a position to just waste development opportunity on arguably more in form and valuable batsman cause of what he has done in the past, most of which long in the past now. What do you do with Smith? He looks a mile off it. He’s got the runs on the board in his career though, so you can’t drop him.
Marsh though, why persist with him if he doesn’t score in the second innings here? Webster is the one guy at Shield level who has been bashing the door down for a couple of seasons now, no need to keep sticking with Marsh.
If some players hadn’t turned up to Perth just a fraction under prepared, we might not be 0-1 down in the series..
Do you have insights to the preparation ?
Are you on the sack the coach wagon too ?
