Good game so far.

High Diver scored the first try but Womanly hit back with Ballin.

Score is currently 6 to 4 in favour of Manly.

After the Ballin try Parra got posession from the restart thanks to a lazy Watmough and a great kick. They had two subsequent penalties on manly's but couldn't convert.

Eels have lost Kris Keating (halfback) with a suspected broken jaw.

Hayne is in great form much as I hate to admit it.

Go Eels!!

Easy try to rodney.

Eels conceding too many penalties.

Manly 12 to 4.

Now Bailey.

This started well for the Eels but it's gone downhill since Keating went off.

Bugger.

4 penalties conceded by the Eels so far. All dumb dumb stupid efforts. They're trying it on in the tackle and getting pinged.

Good run from Matt Keating sees Hayne unable to recover the ball from his kick. Wouldve beena try if he held it.

Manly have a few handling errors against them.

Now David Williams scores.

Sod sod sod sod.

Not having a utility on the bench has cost Parra because they can't move Matt Keating to half back to cover for Kris. Mateo is their only option in the halves and it's too easy for Manly to target him.

Mateo is not offering anything in attack, he's constantly taking on the line and getting smashed - but Manly is just out muscling them - I suppose that's the coaches conundrum - bench utility would take out a much need forward spot

Hard to see para getting out of this one. Broncs really played Manly into form

I'd argue that Parra is one of the teams that actually needs a utility. It's great that Matt Keating can play 80 minutes but if Parra had someone on the bench who could play hooker or in the halves that would free up Mateo to be able to hang back and spot an opportunity rather than trying to create them constantly. Mateo really suffers from being the focal point of the Eels attack, his strength is the offload not the vision.

Hayne scores under the post. The conversion will make it a 12 point game in favour of Manly.

Disgraceful try line defence sees Watmough score. Ugh.

Okay so the Touchie called a pass forward and when the cameras pan to him afterwards he's shading his eyes because the sun is shining right in them.

So how did he SEE IT?!?!?!

Did anyone else see George Rose get the ball about 20m out from Manly's line and step about ten players, before being brought down. Then he got the ball again towards the end of the set and the crowd gave him a massive cheer.

It was awesome.

Missed it.

Just as well, I hate that fat ass too.

I feel sorry for Mateo. If he played a club that actually played him in position he'd probably be playing rep football by now. He's a talented back rower who could play 5/8 at a stretch, but only if he has a dominant halfback. If everyone around him does their job he's almost unstoppable, but as the single focal point of his team's attack he struggles.
