From Badel so take that as you will.

He will still be at at the club but he won't be on the panel that looks at recruitment etc.

I don't have actual Intel of course but I think after losing both Flegler and Farnworth and not signing Fifita, Ikin got the sack.

It's from badel so I would still be sceptical (given he said Herbie would resign) but I feel it's likely if this is true that he stepped back from it otherwise it would make more sense for him to leave entirely.

confusing. so if hes not involved any more in our roster what does he do exactly?

thats the whole point of him coming onboard.

im guessing it wont be much longer before hes not part of the club in any copacity.

hope it wasnt because of feud with kev.

If it is its a blow for the broncos.

I still think ikin is 1000% times more valuable to the club then kev.

also they say he informed DD prior to the season start? but he was still on the sidlines after the penrith win wasnt he?

Considering he is on 350k and he reportedly turned down the QRL offer my guess is collect bank doing nothing.

badel doesn't strike me with confidence as nrl's buzzfeed boy but if true this is a bit concerning

is the carrigan announcement just a coincidence?

Fox Sports now reporting this.

Something interesting from the fox Sports article is that they say that in the Broncos hierarchy Ikin reports to Walters, who reports to DD.

Although, they also say Ikin had a key role in the Capes signing, even though he started after Capes signed. Capes in his recent interview credits Kevie, Alfie and their mutual (Capes included) love for the club. I don't recall him mentioning Ikin

I would say the ikin thing has something to do with the David Fifita rumour. Holbrook was saying that kevvie had been ringing him but the broncos stance was they werent interested- couldn’t afford him. Sounds like a possible catalyst to me.

So if he isn't involved in roster what does he actually get paid to do?

Why is this coming out now if he stood down before Christmas ? Also we have signed Marty, resigned Pat, CJ and Paix. All good moves if you ask me, so the committee is doing their job it seems. I don't think we would have retained FLeg or Herbie if was on the committee or not.
I am wondering how much influence he has had on our current roster compared to any of the others on the committee. Anyone have any inside knowledge because I believed he was making all the moves up to now. It could be Scanlan who is the most important in RnR.

Oh he stood down before Christmas? Wasn’t aware. I should read these things properly.

They've been getting rid of the right blokes since Ikin came in, so I'm pro-Ikin. Ikin just needs to wait it out for Walters mis-steps and in comes Slater or Woolf as new head coach.
