Bennett's Broncos

Today I bought a book called Bennett's Broncos by Steve Ricketts. It's a recap of our run in the 90's and 2000 that netted 5 premierships in 8 years and recounts from the greats and players of the time and how Bennett influenced them.

Sounds like a good book is anyone else interested in it

I just started reading it and it's already a book I'm enjoying and would recommend to any Broncos fan.

It's a reflection of our former greats memories of the golden years and how Wayne Bennett influenced them and how he brought them together. The first 3 guys reflecting were Kevin Walters, Andrew Gee and Chris Johns.

Loved the piece on Andrew Gee. Apparently when Bennett went to his place in Beaudesert to sign him he saw a photo Gee hung up on the wall of himself in his Australian schoolboys jumper. Bennett ordered him to take this photo down and if he didn't he was risking falling in love with himself and his ego taking control of him.
