I don't remember the crowd being silent or still that entire match. The whole place was just a mass of people on the edge of their seats.

****, we were up by a fair bit with 20 to go. Still wouldn't let my self dream. Scored more points, 15 to go. Still holding my breath. I think it was only until it was mathematically impossible for them to score enough points (4 tries in under 10 minutes) that I was able to actually soak it up.

The Broncos were booed all night, the crowd chanted wally's a wanker all night long, they threw stuff at Terry Matterson when he was attempting conversions. The Crowd booed them when accepting the Trophy and that was enough for Wally saying "Winners can Smile" when presented the Trophy. Despite the Broncos winning and Terry Matterson getting the player of the series award from Panasonic. The selectors from within the NSWRL ranks gave the man of the match award to Andy Gregory.

To be fair Ken Arthurson apparently went into the dressing room to apologise for the crowds behaviour. The Broncos returned to red hill to celebrate and when the players got on stage and Wally said "And to all of those people who booed us down there all night long they can kiss our" (they all turned around including Bennett and pointed to their ass). The media got into a frenzy and down south there were calls for the Broncos to be kicked out of the competition, which was becoming a regular fashion.

Watching the full highlights video, Milf got a try that there's no way he scores today, he still had a little of his pace in 16 although they did catch him. No way he gets caught if that was 15 Milf. Also Maranta with the play of the night!

I went to a game at QE2(ANZ) Stadium against Parramatta with a mate who supported the Eels. The Eels were up 14-6 at half time and the crowd was absolutely dead quiet except for few Eels fans who made the trek up, my mate was giving me a ribbing about it. Whatever Bennett said at halftime worked and the Broncos piled on 54 unanswered points and the crowd responded. My mate couldn't even look at me LOL
