Pretty sure I've started a thread similar to this before, but Big Pete mentioned Nigel Vagana in another post and I felt the need to start this thread!

Basically, just a thread to discuss players from the past whose name you haven't heard in a while.

Anyone remember Henry Paul? Weren't some people calling him the best player in the world at one point?

Yeah, I remember the Paul brothers. They tore it up in the ESL. That says it all.

How about Brent Webb? Great fullback, shame he's wasted over in the UK.

Scott Minto where is he now

Wayne's surrogate when he's not at Dragons training sessions.

Brett Seymour, Berrick Barnes, Scott Prince..

3 supposed can't miss prospects, we ended up going with Seymour who went shit.

Brad Thorn played for the Crusaders against the Reds yesterday. He's surely pushing 40 by now [icon_lol1.

I read the team sheets on couriermail.com.au and saw "4. Brad Thorn" and my brain immediately though 'WTF is Brad Thorn doing at center???'

Stupid Union.

Brad Thorn for mine is one of the most underated players in League.

Outside of the Broncos or NZRU nobody remembers him, when I felt he played a big part (bigger than Webcke) in our 06 victory.

Does anybody remember the hype for Fraser Anderson before 2006?

Isn't he Locky's best friend?

Shame about Lee, he was very handy in that 98 finals series. From there he just couldn't get going, always kept getting injured when he started playing well.

Yep, back to back knee reconstructions in 2000 and 2001 (both injuries sustained against Parramatta IIRC) killed him.

Well Prince was pretty much permanantly injured while with the Broncos and Barnes ditched us to go back to his true love of Rugby - we didn't really have a lot of choice of the 3 in the end. But yeah I was pretty disappointed that Seymour didn't work out for us.
