You have too much time on your hands Porthoz
Haha... maybe. :spy:
It's sort of a hobby, and I have the full stats anyway for the SVRL comp.

Thought it would be good to have a thread like this for information and reference purposes.

I was thinking of creating a Video Review thread where people watch games from this season and give a breakdown/analysis etc.

But watching 25 x 80 minute games of football over a 5 month span does seem a bit loserish.

Interesting stats from the FW1 edition of Big League.

Our stats indicate what we all saw, we were essentially better than our classification showed, but lost too many games we should've won. Hopefully WB will get that extra 1% out of the boys...

yup. stats put us as a top 4 side, easily imo.

bennett hopefully brings what was missing to convert those close losses into strong wins.

would not have guessed that, though wondering how many of those metres were made up of vidots runs?

Post contact, maybe 8 every run he made?

edit: because he was hit after around 7-8 metres by the defense and then made it to around 15 metres most times. Plus those two breaks he made against the Dragons.

Vidot made 4,000+ meters, so there would be at least another 8,000 to account for, besides line breaks are not counted in this stats, as this is the amount of meters the players made between the first contact and the tackle being completed.

That said, I am sure Vidot will be first individually at the Broncos and possibly NRL wide!

Justin Hodges had 17 Try Assists?.. That doesn't seem right.

Edit: The 2 other Stats websites I looked at had him at 15 Try Assists for 2014, that's still a LOT for a centre, easily the most for someone not playing in the spine, Dylan Walker was 2nd with 12.

Big League tend to make the odd error but then I also find them to be more accurate in certain cases pending on the source.

Try Assists are a hairy issue, just ask any SVRL Supercoach about it but especially Dexter.

Some other stats that were highlighted...

. The Broncos were strong in their discipline in 2014. They conceded an average of 5.8 penalties per game, the third-best rate in the competition.

. Led by Corey Parker, the Broncos had the second most post-contact metres (536 per game)

. Stemming from halfback Ben Hunt's willingness to take the ball to the line, the Broncos employed the most dummies in the competition, averaging 15.5 per game

. The Broncos desperate defensive measures produced the second-most-try-saving tackles in the competition with 46.

. Andrew McCullough was the leading tackler in the NRL this season. (avg 47.3 per game)

The biggest issue for mine is the missed tackles. Nearly 27 every game and being on the losing end of the stat in a the majority of the games is a huge concern.
