Outside of Nikorima and Roberts, I'm not disappointed and if anything I'm surprised to see us risk the likes of Thaiday, Blair, Oates, Boyd etc. on this tournament.

My read is that he didn't want to get anyones hopes up who hadn't already been a captain previously.
