Broncos Cheer Squad

I attended the double header on the weekend. I was firstly dismayed that the Broncos cheer squad, mascots and Buck would not be appearing. It was said because it was not a 'home game', fair enough, The one thing it did show up was how uncoordinated and out of step our own cheerleaders really are. I have previously heard from other Broncos fans, how the cheer squad were out of step, I passed the comments off as people just having a winge. Boy, was I wrong. I watched the cheer squad of both the Storm and Manly teams. I was very impressed by the professional display both these teams provided. I felt embarrassed that our own cheer squad is on display when teams visit us. The Mascots and Buck do a excellent job and I now see that our cheer squad is a second class effort. We have a first class team on the field coached by a first class coach backed by a first class club. I go to every home game to primarily to watch the game in the middle however you can't help but notice the other entertainment going on around the ground. Looking pretty and waving pom poms does not constitute a cheer squad. Both the Storm and Manly cheer squads outshone our broncos cheer squad in both uniform and precision in executing effective displays, I think we can do better.

Too many clothes, uncoordinated and one of them looks like Thaiday.

Our cheer squad sucks.

Been ordinary for years now. On the whole, it's not a big issue as we don't have that 'cheer culture' like the US does, so their actual cheer/dance talent is kinda irrelevant, but compared to the other teams with quality like the Pantherettes, it's a bit disappointing.

I preferred the old days when their uniforms were a whole lot skimpier and you were always a chance of seeing a wardrobe malfunction but let's face it, in the scheme of things, it's pretty irrelevant.

I don't care. She looks like Thaiday.

And how exactly is it racist?

Works for me .......

Because she is indigenous. . And looks nothing like thaiday at all but you're just saying she looks like an indigenous player simply because she's indigenous. . How's that not racist? ?

I reckon a cross between Jayden Hodges & Josh Hoffman

*side note - its not racist to think someone looks like someone else. We do it all the time with player look-a-likes and the skin tone is not taken into account here. Its purely just we reckon their faces are simular. Its not like we are saying she looks like someone only because of their skin so its no racist

One of them is named Brogan

What kind of a name is Brogan

In their defence though, I've gotta say, I've taken my daughter to three of their dance academy days and they were all pretty cool (including the indigenous chick). They took the time to teach the kids some stuff and were patient with photos, having a yarn, putting up with old blokes having a sneaky perv..., etc.

She looks nothing like him ffs. Just saying "they all look alike", their identity matters nothing - if you're indigenous, you're just like the rest of them. Racist

Who said that?

What's happened here is that you've read a comment, and you have completely misunderstood it and taken that comment the wrong way and decided to go on a little rant and play the racism card.

Racism is believing a race is inferior to another or your own, how does stating an observation that two people look a like fit that definition?

You could maybe call it ignorant (meh, she's a public figure, all public figures are open to discussion) but I can't see how it fits racism at all.

Races, by default, have plenty of similarities. It is what it is.
