Gday everyone
This idea was raised last year and never really got going, but with the clash against the Titans about 6 weeks away, DIEHARD and myself have been discussing having a day of footy with a game or two between the supporters of the two clubs. Whether it be touch or Oztag (even tackle!!! doubtful though) not sure about that, but basically we are obviously looking to get as many as we can involved, young or old, male or female.
It would be a lot of fun and we are looking to make it a twice-a-year thing when the two clubs come up against each other in the NRL Season. The next clash being a Titans home game, we will probably have an afternoon of footy down the coast. Not confirmed yet though.
This thread is purely to get numbers of who would be interested. And if someone would like to put their hand up as a ref that would be handy as well. Obviously you don't have to have any playing experience whatsoever, it's all in the name of having fun and a bit of friendly rivalry between the fans.
We're doing it for charity as well. At this stage we're thinking everyone throw in $10, and then we take it all at the end and donate it to a worthy cause. Take some photos and send them to both clubs and try and get our mugs in a magazine or something. We would probably only raise a couple of hundred bucks, but the purpose of the first day is to get the concept up and running for the future when we could organise a bit more and raise a bit more.
So who's in??? Let's get as many as possible!!!!
