Currently the telecast is halfway through the 1990 game and will finish with the Panthers game.
It'll then return at 11pm, so if anyone wants to Record it, set your Recorder for then.
If we set up a Patreon for BHQ, we could buy a DV-R.
Although, I don't think it'd be wise to authorise any unofficial releases...
This has been a really fun marathon by the by. I'd completely forgotten about the Panthers 2000 game and had no idea why it was selected over say the 2002 game against Newcastle. Turns out, this was the game where Walker made a clean break, starting wagging his finger in the air and then just bombed it.
I have no other recollection of this game. I would have been stoke with this win, the Round 8 loss against Penrith broke my heart that year. I wanted a perfect season dammit!
Walker scores the try he should have had earlier supporting Lockyer back on the inside - and does everything to make sure he scores it, gently placing it down with all sorts of humility.
Walker's combination with Lockyer is severely underrated.
The one that stood out for me was Michael Hancock scoring in 1993 against the Dogs......metres offside but the downtown rules were a bit different back then. I think it was O'Neills 5 th tackle kick and Hancock was out wide 3-4 metres offside, races through and gets the ball off Brett Dallas's fumble after an extremely unlucky bounce...sure wouldn't stand today
Hancock was outside the 10 and the opposition player played at the ball and didn't retain possession.
Hilder scored a try against Storm in the 2013 semi despite being offside from the kick. It was awarded because he remained outside the 10 when Slater played at the ball and dropped it.
