You have to start thinking that all the cap talk is just groundwork to set up an opportunity for Darius to martyr himself, look noble, and do the right thing for the future of the club. Makes him more likely to be remembered as a club hero who sacrificed himself for the young talent and washes away the bad taste he is starting to leave in the mouths of some fans. Something has to give on the Boyd/Macca/Bird front in the next 12 months if we do indeed have serious cap pressures.

I sincerely hope so. I also hope that Boyd realises the damage he could do to his legacy if he stays on and keeps playing this poorly.
He has a chance to go out and be remembered as not only a great player but a guy that moved aside to help set up the future for his club. However, if he stays on and is the guy that cost us a guy like Fifita he would be the most hated Bronco in our history.
