THE BRONCOS have beaten off a host of rival clubs to re-sign the youngster set to inherit Darius Boyd’s fullback throne.
NYC fullback Corey Allan is just 17 but has already been identified as a future NRL star.
Several clubs have been chasing Allan, the Queensland under 18 fullback this season, but the Brncos are expected to announce his re-signing in coming days.
“Corey was in hot demand but has decided to stay at the Broncos,” Allan’s manager Sam Ayoub says.
“He is a special talent – not many 17-year-olds play in the NYC against kids three years older than them.”
Allan hails from Marsden State High School – the alma mater of Test skipper Cameron Smith and dual international Israel Folau.
