Broncos Season Membership Pack Merchandise Poor Quality

I received my Broncos Season Membership pack recently and was disappointed at what is a very poorly made cap, not produced by Nike as was the case in previous years. The rest of the merchandise is pretty ordinary also. The season member caps have always been manufactured by Nike and was a very high quality dri-fit cap. It appears that it has gotten 'cheap' all of a sudden!

Does anyone else have any issues with the merchandise?

Look forward to other comments ..

Yeah, it's not that good this year.

The cap is poor.. And they never send one that fucking fits. I have an adult sized head, I do not have the head of a child. Send me one that fucking fits.

The key chain isn't that good. The keychain last year was a lot better. The same as the bumper sticker. Just the logo with "Member '16" on it, not even coloured. And they only sent one out.. My dad didn't get any of those.

The can holder.. Meh. I don't really have a problem with it, nice little can holder. But I don't drink cans and I don't drink alcohol much. Even when I do, I would prefer to just pour it into a chilled glass.

And I don't like the new card holder. I prefer the old ones..

But apart from that, I'm just happy I got my membership card.

Regarding the cap, I believe the club ended their relationship with Nike at the end of last year.

The card holder is the only thing I actually use for my work ID so that was disappointing. They really cheaped out this year by the sounds of it, hope they pass some of the savings to the members.

Apparently they aren't the only ones either, Roosters fans not happy with theirs

Can you use last years one if it's better? Same with the hat? I know that's little comfort to those that 2016 is their first year. And it'll say 2015. But still...

Yeah quality is absolutely rubish. Has definitely gone down hill over the years, even the fury friend membership was lacklustre this year.

The membership stuff took a dive a few years back too.
You used to get more stuff but then they included a voucher instead so that you had to go and buy stuff at the Broncos store or at games and get a discount.
I think from memory, you have to buy $50 worth and you get $20 off.

Yeah, that's the downside to it. You have to spend a minium of $50 to even use the discount.

A shame, because I would really like to buy the members polo for $38.

Speaking of the members polo, I don't see why they can't include that?

I'm sure members would be willing to fork out a little extra to have that included. It's released at a difficult time for me, usually when I'm broke as **** because it's the end of the year.

The club should be smart enough to realize that what would really make our membership swag unique and beneficial to everyone is if it included a shit tonne of discounts and offers from....Public transport, Suncorp Stadium, Parking in the city. Whatever the **** you have to do to make that members travel to Suncorp on a friday night to and from as painless as possible.

Tough one for mine. The merchandise would cost literally a few dollars at most per membership. The caps I am guessing were supplied by Nike as part of their deal, hence why the new ones are apparently cheap & nasty. The keyring, magnets, stickers, at the quantities they'd order (~30,000+) they'd be cheap as. If you look at subsidised parking (public transport is free already), it'd cost a fortune for a full 12-game membership. It's not like you could do a deal with the council as I'd say any parking that isn't provided as part of the public transport infrastructure (ie, at bus & train stations) would be privately owned. Unless a particular parking group came on board as a sponsor, it isn't going to happen. The biggest bitch IMO is getting out of the stadium and home after the game. As it is, the shuttle buses, the full bus routes, the trains, they're filling up and departing as quickly as possible anyway, you couldn't make it any quicker unless you added more terminals under Suncorp or increased the number of train lines at Roma St etc. So, yeah, not going to happen.

If they wanted to help fans, they'd be better off:
* Getting free wifi in the stadium (which isn't really the Broncos' responsibility)
* Free limited NRL Digital Pass with club membership that allows them to watch all of their club's away games live, as well as the full replays for both home & away games etc. Which would take an NRL-wide initiative.

More Sunday games would help too, as great it might be for the tv deal to have our games on friday nights, I know a lot of fans miss the sunday afternoon games, but the Broncos don't control that so can't blame them, unless your a whinging non Bronco supporter.

I hate any day games. having footy played at around 4pm in winter is terrible with the sun going down. Too much glare.

Yeah, obviously. It's not like you have to bin them under threat of legal action.

The 37K who came out to watch 1st take on 16th (at that time) tend to agree Renegade.

I know the Broncos drew well on a Thursday night (36K and 44K respectively) but I reckon if you had have tested the demographics, you would have seen a surplus of young fans. Around the ground you could just tell that a lot of families had been saving for that one Sunday game and really made a day of it. The stalls outside of the arena were packed and a lot of kids had their faces painted to be like their favourite Marvel Super Hero. It's a shame they'll miss out on that this year.

It's also a shame for the players who tend to play their best footy during the day.
