Broncos slam 'very, very, silly scheduling'

I think he's talking about the players and the salary cap.

Our biggest issue is replacing Boyd for a couple of games, but kahu, the incumbent Nz fb, should be more than capable. Oates will be a big loss, but maranta and Anderson will serve us well. It'll be interesting to see how our promising rookie forwards go.

our biggest issue is replacing the 4 forwards we will lose
we have plenty of outside backs to cover for Boyd

It will be a good test for us.

Ese'ese has looked solid, I'd say he'll do just fine as a middle forward off the bench.

Arrow didn't get much game time but he's done all the right things in Q Cup. I imagine we'll play him as a starting edge second rower. Seems defensively sound, big motor, hopefully he can hack the increase in pace.

Given he's been 18th man a couple of times, TPJ to the other edge. Not sure how his fitness will hold up but likely less taxing than a middle role.

Blair, Wallace and Ofa starting in the middle. Probably Ofa at lock.

Still leaves us two men short though, assuming we lose the expected contingent. Shame about Timu!

Not too bad. A little raw, but I'm keen to see what the young blood offers. If we can't bank the wins, it's a good chance to evaluate individual performances.

A little hazy on which games we're likely to have Origin absentees. Think it's Tigers, Warriors, Raiders? If so, not exactly a murderer's row.

Tigers game is our only game without them
The other games we have the bye but Bennett might choose to rest some players the following game after SOO

Probably Boyce ahead of S'ua and TPJ

Boyce seems a goer, but my strongest memory of him from last year was him being bounced off the first 6 tackles he attempted in the Knights game. Haven't seen him play at all this year, so he may have improved his defence.

I saw him play a trial game and he has filled out quite a lot and he looked significantly more effective than what I saw last year...others will probably know better.

Probably not needed with McCullough and Kodi in the 17. Would benefit from a bigger body on the bench rather than Waddell's hit ups.
