David Mead extends one year, taking his contract until the end of 2022.

Broncos Coach Kevin Walters said: “Dave is the ultimate professional – he is a family man with an outstanding set of morals, as well as great experience on the field.

“He represents everything we want at this Club and acts as great mentor and an example to the young men who are coming through in our squad.

”Add to that his really good form on the field for us this year and it is an easy decision to offer him another year at the Broncos.”

Hetherington signs until the end of 2023.

Broncos Coach Kevin Walters said: “Kobe is a player of strong character that suits the type of person we need to have on our roster – he’s honest & hardworking and is well respected at our club.”

Teammate Jake Turpin said of Hetherington: “Kobe is one of those players who if he is next to you, then you know that he’s not going to let you down. He’s tough as nails and he puts everything on the line with each and every run and each and every tackle.”

Tyson Gamble extends until the end of the 2023 season.

Gamble said: “It’s unreal to re-sign with the Broncos – I love the way the club is going, the direction that Kev is taking us and I’m looking forward to the future.

“It’s good to keep the young blokes around, it’s a good crew that we’ve got here at the moment and the longer we keep all of us together, the better we can go.

“We’ve had a bit of a refresh mid-season and after that win against the Sharks, there’s no reason we can’t get a few more to finish off the season, and we can then build into 2022.”

TPJ leaves effectively immediately.

“Our club is moving through a process of making decisions for the long-term good of the playing roster and as a result we are seeing some players depart.
“We have also had a number of players re-sign and extend with the Broncos in recent months, as well as some high-quality players decide to join us here in Brisbane.

“We are making good progress in finalising our squad for the 2022 season and beyond, and we will continue to work closely with all of our players as we complete that process.”
