Been waiting ages for this team to be announced, not long now!

Anybody heading to the game and what do you guys make of the selections?

Looks like Copley and Reed are ahead of Beale at this point. Also interesting to note the selection of Daniel Ogden, the Norths speedster, hope he impresses everyone on his Broncos debut.

I am going to go to this match, hoping Kempy plays the house down but also hope the likes of Copely and Reed give us hope for the centre position. Looking forward to seeing how Hunt is traveling after another pre-season.

It's very much a side of depth but then generally the first trial side is and its still fairly strong for what it is, definitely some players in that side to keep an eye on how they go, the centre combination will give us some good insight in some of the selections available as Bucking Beads points out, David Hala is a forward to keep an eye on.

Was John Te Reo one of the guys we let go of a few years ago for disciplinary stuff??

I forgot Te Reo was back. He will certainly keep the pressure on McCullough to perform this season because before the incident I thought he played some good footy when the chipped in that season.

I agree but he is so similar to Glenn in that he didn't really seem to find a home in the team and was used a bit all over, both very talented and hopefully one or the other or both carve it and force there way into a permanent spot (Glenn makeshift centre last year doesn't count).

Agreed. I think his best form was at hooker though, whether or not that's his best position, is really for those who have seen him play in the last 2 years to decide because admittedly I have not.

Hes not back yet, hes only got a trial that he will have to impress in. I don't think he will get a run unless half the squad came down with the plague.

I wouldn't read too much into it, Beale is favourite at this stage by the sounds of things.

Interesting to see Jordan Kahu on the bench.
The kid has a talent, another fullback though

Where is Rohan Ahern ? Thought he might be in the squad.

It will be interesting how the centres and halves pairing goes for mine :)

Kind of wish they'd selected some senior players, so we could see how these youngins go playing with some of the best.

It'd be good if the Tits pick a fairly experienced team. That'd be a decent test for the Broncos kids.

They haven't though, it's basically Tweed Heads + U20s.

Ah well, at least it's a chance to see how that young combination works for us in attack. Won't tell us much in defence.

BEN Hunt will gain the rare honour of becoming a young Broncos captain when he leads out the NRL team in a trial against the Titans at Kougari Oval, Wynnum, tomorrow night.

The Broncos have been hit by a couple of injuries with John Te Reo denied the chance of returning in Broncos colours on his home ground.

Te Reo has a groin injury, as does Denan Kemp, who is off the wing.

Kemp will be replaced by affiliate club Norths flanker Daniel Ogden, while Kurt Baptiste will play hooker.

Youngster Jordan Kahu will fill the fullback role with Dane Gagai back to the under-20s match that will precede the NRL trial.

Hunt will take on the captaincy duties after playing 20 NRL games last year.

The Broncos team will be under the watchful eye of assistant coach Anthony Griffin in the match that kicks off at 7pm.
