Without another forward who is big, aggressive and makes meters, we're gonna go nowhere fast IMO. If we get rid of the deadwood (eg Sims) we might have enough to get that player we need.

Agreed. We've seen what happens in the past 7 weeks when Clinton and/or Kenny are unavailable. We're popgun.

Maybe we shouldn't recruit any nuffies for 2010, and just blood some juniors and battle through 10' and use Karmichaels money to have a big play at a prop coming off contract for 2011?

Isn't McCullough, B Hunt off contract in 2010? I'd be looking at upgrading them to make sure we hang on to them and buy a marquee prop for 11'

Looks like 2010 will see us relying on far too many young props to be a real threat to the Premiership... No depth at all in that squad could be a very long year if we get some injuries..

I don't mind a re-building year in 2010 TBH. Seeing as there is nothing decent on the market I'd rather go with what we've got rather than waste money on someone who isn't really worth it or who is a stop-gap option. This will be better for the longer-term future. Then have a look around at what's on offer for the follow year as Beale said.

Still a chance in 2010 but need no injuries and to have every player in top form to give it a shake.. Backline is still awesome but Forward pack needs to muscle up and work hard.... I think we will really lack impact off the bench next season also.

I still reckon Ben Ross is worth a shot. I don't rate him that much, but he'll be cheap as chips. At least he has SOO experience, and we can sign him to a one year deal.
