I don't know how to feel about the game just yet, just disappointed at our start and at the very soft and convenient piggy backing Manly were given in the first 20 mins.

We kept trying but we were always going to struggle to get points.

That game was gifted to Manly. I have no doubt that if Locky had played we would have won by 12. Damn his leadership is priceless.

As for Gillett, he looked like a fish out of water. I recant. He is no half.

Poor discipline, lack of structure and when will we lern to create real space out wide? Hodges is wasted.

I wouldn't say Gillett can't play 6 just on that, the whole side were playing to a plan which just wasn't going to cut it tonight against a very good team getting a bit of help at just the right times.

We were just to forward oriented and made it easy for Manly to pack the centre, we looked most dangerous when we played a bit of footy.

I just can't understand why we didn't try and get repeat sets again tonight. Also I don't understand why we didn't run that second man play on the left side more often.

Gillette is raw talent but he clearly has the skills of a 5/8 and just needs some more time there.

I thought he had some good touches but was a bit shy to put his hand up in front of Wallace.

Locky coulda saved us if he wasnt a fairy. He should of just ####ing played, seriously. Just him being there woulda made us win, other people woulda covered him in defence if he was afraid, he coulda wore a special headgear or some ####, You done need to get smashed in the face to make game winning passes or kicks. The refs gave them a few cheap penalties and we just couldn't get back int he game. We had a red hot crack but Manly were just too good when they got the advantage on us. Bring on 2012. in the end a great season by us and I don't think we were embarrassed at all by the showing we gave tonight.

I doubt the result would hav been much different regardless of who played 5/8th, Lockyer included.

I think Gould hit the nail on the head when he said that after so many emotional big games at home, the broncos just didn't turn up tonight.

Sure they were always sort of in the game, but I still think they were never really in it if that makes sense. Manly just always seemed to be in control. When the Broncos would mount some sort of comeback, Manly would just lift another gear and take the game straight back.

Manly played better and deserved the win. Sure the reffing my have been a little one sided, especially early on, but the broncos needed to adapt to that, yet they kept on doing stupid things and gave the refs reason to blow the whistle.

Must have been a terrible way for Lockyer to go out. Sitting on the bench not being in control of his fate. I'm glad I was at Suncorp last week to see his lasy game in Broncos colours.
