Broncos Vs. Panthers - Build Up Thread

I'll be there ... can't wait for the double header

Man, such a great few days of footy for me! Broncos vs Rabbits today, Origin on Wednesday and double header of Friday!

Lets hope we can get 3 from 3

Should be a good match. We can beat the Panthers, they are far from proven contenders at the moment.

Hopefully Thaiday, Folau and Locky pull up alright from Wednesday night.

I might be getting cocky but Panther without Petro we should really destroy...

So whos going to make the 'Gillett - A best a man can get' banner???

Penrith, like us, are getting it together. Coote is playing the house down, Jennings can be lethal, their halves are decent and their forwards are good.

Petero or not, this is a real challenge. Win this and we really establish our credentials.

Thinking of going to this game - clients of Mr BB want to take us. What time does the game start - and what time would the second game finish?

Not sure I could be bothered re-arranging the kids that night (and interupting their social lives) and getting them places early in the morning, but this would be a good game backing up from yesterday - plus Origin. Normally we have a good game 2 days after Origin. Plus, I'd be interested to see if our intensity can stay the same.

Broncos-Panthers kicks off at 7. Bulldogs-Tits kicks off at 8.45. So should be all over by 10.30.

That is way past my bedtime. Wonder if I could try and weasel my way out after the Broncos-Panthers game.... eusa_think

Last double header, plenty of people went home after the Broncos game.

1.Hoffman
2.Winterstein
3.Glenn
4.Folau
5.Yow Yeh
6.Locky
7.Wallace
8.Tronc
9.McCullough
10.Simms
11.Te'o
12.Thaiday
13.Parker

14.Hunt
15.Gillett
16.Anderson/McGuire
17.Dodds/McGuire

Pretty hard to pick a team as they were all so good last night. I'd like to see McGuire retain his spot, in such a short time he made plenty of metres and tackles. Dodds needs to hit it up more still, his defence is amazing though.

Yup. At least half the crowd I reckon.

Pffft. Penrith score, what, 80% of their tries from kicks? Ooo scary.

I know, I don't really rate them to be honest. But I'm worried about guys like Coote and Jennings who can expose any lazy defenders up the middle. And Kingston out of dummy half is a worry at times, he's quick. If we're a little lazy and tired they can score some quick tries on us and we'll end up chasing them for points.

If we keep up the intencity in defence, we'll beat them. No doubt about it.

I think the fact Panthers are 2nd and going well will be enough motivation for the players to lift. Yesterday the intensity was down a bit after we got out to a big lead. I doubt the same will happen on Friday.

I reckon that was due to most of them being really pissed off after we got smashed by Souths.
