Broncos Vs. Panthers - Telecast & Post-Match Discussion

Wallace had the worst game he has ever had, I have always been one of Wallace's biggest supporters, but he looks totally lost out there at the moment. He's moving so slow on everything. I always liked him originally because he looks like one of those players who could relax at the line like locky and make a good decision on what he saw ahead of him. Call me crazy but I have always thought he is a natural five-eighth and doing the routine stuff of a half back i think has made him start to premeditate his actions before the line and he looks like hes really confused with too many options just overwelming him.

He will come good again but only when he starts to run hard and fast around the field first and then think about his options. I think he has gotten slow through injury, he needs to get back to the little things and he will come good for us again. Hopefully for us that is a few weeks before the finals.

After ranting an raving about him, to be fair the last two weeks very few of our forwards are running straight at the moment, which is always going to make things harder on the halves. Someone needs to tell the forward pack to harden up again and let the backs do the sideways stuff, and soon.

The fact that our forward pack got dominated would have helped Wallace's game much.

Wallace was the biggest reason we went so deep into the finals last season. It was no surprise we were shot when he got injured late against the Dragons, although, I don't think even he could have got us past them. So he had an off game...most of the players did. He'll come good again.

Problem with Wallace he is not very consistent IMO, he gets on a good run at times and plays a few good games but then goes missing for the next 10 rounds...

Interesting talk with Bill Harrigan on Talkin Sport tonight. in the refs debrief today, Badger said he was 100% sure Izzy knocked it on. The linesman said he was 80% sure it was a fair try. Harrigan admitted Badger got it 100% wrong. Not much choice really.

Yeah but Izzy & Yow Yeh both went up at the same time, and even though Izzy didn't touch it, Badger must have thought that Izzy knocked it on to Yow Yeh.

The thing I don't understand about that is, if Izzy did touch it, and Yow Yeh played at it after being in front of Izzy, it should've been a penalty to Penrith!!!! So even in getting the decision wrong, he got it even more wrong [icon_non

Having got sports ears this year, the thing that's shitting me the most is the number of times you hear referees saying to the captain "get your team onside, they're offside all game" or "get off the tackled player quicker, you're taking too long" or "you're not getting square at marker, get it sorted out".

FUCKING PENALISE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm, someone is having an angry ant day

I actually pretty happy the Broncos didn’t win the game against the Panthers, why? Because they didn’t deserve it, they were off their game and they needed to lose to realise that if you’re going to compete against the top side then you have to earn it. They played pretty poorly, that’s not to detract away for the Panthers defensive performance at all, just saying that we didn’t put them under enough sustained pressure to earn our win. Hopefully there will be a more concerted effort against the Eels.
