Broncos Vs. Titans - Build Up Thread

Going to be a tough one.

I haven't really been impressed by the Titans this year. They have the team to give anyone trouble, but they just aren't playing well very often. Somehow they are getting the job done with lucky wins, and as a result are top 4 team.


Anyhow I think we can beat them. Unless we get some injuries in Origin.

I don't agree. They haven't impressed me at all. If we play the way we did prior to our current slump then it'll be an easy victory.

I am totally going to this game, I think we will dominate the Titans. We have rarely played the Titans when we are at full strength. I am tippiing a big one.

The positive is that their attack is as bad as ours has been the last 3 weeks, and their defence hasn't been as good. Broncos should win this one and win it well.

IMO the Broncos have to win it and win well to set the platform for the rest of the season.

Why? We have a halfback and hooker that aren't playing at their best. It makes sense to have a 4th option.

That said I pretty much agree with your 18-man squad. Though I would prefer McGuire to Dodds or Kenny, and would probably prefer Te'o in the centres than Gillett.

Yep, we're much better off with Te'o in the centres than Gillett.

I'm not sure what Glenn's done in recent months to warrant automatic selection in the 17. He's filled in at centre. Big deal. Once we have Hodges and Folau available, he becomes a utility back rower, same as Gillett. So you have one or the other.

And Gillett offers more.

I rate Glenn, fantastic player, but I think at the moment he's in competition with Gillett for a bench spot and he's not up to it.

I'm also not a fan of having Kenny, Tronc and Dodds all in the 17. They're all the same style prop. 2 of them I would have. Setu, Anderson and McGuire offer something a bit different, more footwork and ball skills.

And I LOVE Beads's team...not that Henjak would drop Wallace :P

Hopefully our good defensive efforts won't be forgotten with the bye. We'll need to keep that going for the remaining rounds to get in the groove for the finals.

Brisbane should win this one, but it'll be closer than a lot of you are thinking ..... the Titans are a proud side, and love nothing more than rolling 'big brother'
